As Last Week reported news stated about the Sony Hack, and after that it was revealed that some of the private information of Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz leaked from the Sony Hack, Now one more thing out there from the Hacking Bundle.
Now, according the information, five of the company’s films have been leaked and downloaded online.
Right now, DVD Screener of the films “Fury”, “Annie”, “Mr. Turner”, “Still Alice” and “To Write Love on Her Arms” are being downloaded from the File Sharing Networks and according to a unidentified source, it is being said that this Hack is the result of the hack in which a group defaced the Sony Website Page calling itself GOP.
As of 30 Nov, “Fury”, which isn’t in theaters yet, has been downloaded over 1.2 million times, while “Annie” has crossed 206,000 downloads, according to piracy tracking firm Excipio.
A Sony spokeswoman said that, “The theft of Sony Pictures Entertainment content is a criminal matter, and we are working closely with law enforcement to address it.” We’ve reached out to Sony for further comments, and will update this post as soon as we hear back.
According to Variety: “Fury” has been downloaded by over 888,000 unique IP addresses since showing up on peer-to-peer networks on Nov. 27, according to piracy-tracking firm Excipio. That’s high enough to be the second most-downloaded movie currently being pirated, and it’s not out of movie theaters yet.
