American retailing company named “Target” issued a statement on Thursday, in which they said about the breach of about 40 million credit and debit cards’ numbers by hackers.

Hackers done their job in the last holiday season which started on Nov.27 and we also notified you about this threat in one of our post, published last month.

Now, Hackers have the information of 40 million credit and debit cards, info includes:

  • Card Numbers
  • Expiration Dates
  • Three digit security number

According to the company, users who made purchases at the U.S stores are affected.

According to the information we get from the Internet media-Target chain is working with the financial institutions and law enforcement agencies, in-addition they also contacted third-party forensics firm to investigate this cyber-attack.

Firm is also advising its customers to stay connect with their banks to get updated with any suspicious activity on their accounts, also setup fraud alerts and check credit cards monthly statements regularly, firm adds.

The hack was first reported by security researcher Brain Krebs, in which he wrote about the data breach on Target’s 1790 stores nationwide.
