Popular TV and movie torrents  got sabotaged by a group of unknown hackers as they are flooding them with swarms  IPV6 peers. This attack is taken as a anti- piracy guerrilla attack which has made torrent users unable to download files.

Bit torrent which is used by many of us has been a highly robust protocol which has been used for file sharing. In recent weeks bit torrent was used for sharing large number of pirated tv shows and movies.

The techniques used by hackers unable users to use bit torrent by brining it down by swarming it with IPv6.

The swarming has halted the speed of files at which they got downloaded as a result it may take a hour or two long movie to get downloaded in days.

The attackers are using this IPv6 swarms and with a fake peer request they enter the request queue and keep the client busy which in return slows down the site.

When the attack got confirmed  , u torrent banned the harmful peers but it could not help as the attackers already had a list of different ip addresses used by them .

Many torrent users are complaining of slow speed of torrent as they are struck with their slow speed. A anonymous track operator has revealed the purpose after this hack that is to stop piracy. Bit Torrent got informed about the security breach and they will look after the issue and fix it.

For those who are still struck with this can use an immediate fix , they can either disable the IPv6 nor can use a different client till the time there is a prominent fix.

There is no evidences about the  one who is after this hack but yes this move was against piracy as this was for movie and TV shows torrents only.

This is the most effective attempts to disrupt bit torrent in these years.
