Due to the cheating of famous chess champion of Georgian, the Dubai Open Chess Tournament is banned, as he was found to cheating with an iPhone, which phone was hidden at toilet!!

Georgian National Chess Champion, Gaioz Nigalidze, who is only 25 years old, is banned from the international chess tournament on Dubai. He was found during cheating with an iPhone. Tigran Petrossian was the opponent of Nigalidze, who is an American champion. Actually he noticed that, Nigalidze was continuously going to toilet and every time, he was the same stall was visited by him.

A Dubai Chess and Culture Club representative said that, “The Armenian noticed the Georgian was oddly frequenting the toilet after each move during a crucial part of the game.” 

Immediately, Nigalidze was checked by the officers, but they did not get any gadgets to him. After then they start investigation on the toilet, to which he was visiting frequently, and they found an iPhone there. It was hidden back to the toilet, wrapping with the toilet paper.

Initially, Nigalidze was denying to be the iPhone owner, but the officers found that, a social network site was logged in on his ID and also a chess application was open there on the iPhone, which was analyzing the game of Nigalidze and Petrossian.

It is one kind of game hacking and it was reported to the International Chess Federation. According to the Dubai tournament’s chief arbiter, Mahdi Abdul Rahim, who is guilty for cheating will be suspended for minimum three years from earlier sanctioned all tournaments. This punishment may be extended to fifty years, if he is found doing the cheating or hacking game again.

Nigalidze was the chess champion on 2013 and 2014. Now his renowned is in danger for next several years. His past achievements are also in a question that, whether he deserves the championship, or he used to gain the win by cheating from previous.

Nigalidze has suspended from the tournament for now, but the tournament is still running in Dubai. Now the tournament is continuing with 70 grandmasters of 43 countries, all of them are competing to gain the first prize of $1200 worth. Some of the grandmasters have told the federation for taking strick action against Nigalidze and banned him for next fifteen years. Which would be a remenberable punishment for all and others will not take such hacking step again.

But Nigalidze was not the first one of cheating. In previous, several grandmasters cheated and they were also penalized badly.
