Someone on Sunday, hacked the Yahoo news twitter feed with a tweet that claims about the presence of a Virus (Human Disease) named Ebola outbreak in Atlanta.

Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by the Ebola virus.

Shortly just after the tweet, a confirmation tweeted posted by the official team, that the last tweet about Ebola in Atlanta is fake and this is an unauthorized tweet.

“Earlier, an unauthorized tweet with misinformation on Ebola was sent from this account; please disregard that tweet,” yahoo tweeted.

The Fake tweet, which was posted online:

“BREAKING: EBOLA OUTBREAK IN ATLANTA!” screamed the first line from Yahoo! News’ Twitter feed. “Estimated 145 people infected so far since Doctors carrying the disease were flown in from Africa.”

The tweet went out at 4:41 p.m. Sunday and disappeared about 20 minutes later, but before removing that nearly or could be more than thousands of people had re-tweeted that.

Right now, Yahoo says it is looking into the matter with the help of Twitter, and is trying to determine where the tweet originated.

Two Ebola patients were flown to Atlanta last week for treatment at Emory University Hospital, where they’re being given experimental drugs to try to fight the virus. Ebola has no known cure.
