We all know about Google’s Youtube Service, which claims to be very strict about its policies to not to post any video which sells any thing illegal, and million of similar videos removed every year by their team, but The Report by a group, called the Digital Citizens Alliance reflects that YouTube unable to block the videos that selling stolen credit card data online through uploading videos to YouTube.

It’s too important for one, who was affected in the financial breach in the Target or similar to this, because we don’t know, might be our card data too available for sale online, and YouTube Videos seems to playing important role for Cyber criminals to earn money through selling credit cards data.

In the report group said, that they found almost 16,000 result while searching for “how to get valid 2014 credit card numbers,” and in place of blocking these videos, legitimate advertisements running next to them.

In one of the example, a video selling stolen credit card information posted next to an ad for Target Corp., which is a victim of most affected financial breach, in which users’ credit, debit cards’ data was compromised.

What YouTube said to PC World ?

“Our guidelines prohibit any content encouraging illegal activities, including videos promoting the sale of illegal goods.”
“YouTube’s review teams respond to videos flagged for our attention around the clock, removing millions of videos each year that violate our policies. We also have stringent advertising guidelines, and work to prevent ads appearing against any video, channel or page once we determine that the content is not appropriate for our advertising partners.”

And here, executive director of the Digital Citizens Alliance ‘Tom Galvin’ said:
“We were stunned at what we found, We found dozens, if not hundreds, of examples of stolen credit cards being sold on YouTube.”
