Singapore: Recently two brothers Mohammad Azhar Tahir & Mohammad Asyiq Tahir are arrested over the hacking of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) website, now facing a total of 16 cybercrime charges by them.

The prosecution have tendered 10 charges in court against Mohammad Azhar Tahir, 27. They included that the unauthorized modification of content on the PMO site, by illegally getting in a neighbor’s wireless Internet service, then hacking into various social media and e-mail accounts of Ah Boys To Men, actor- Mr. Ridhwan Azman.

The younger brother, Mohammad Asyiq Tahir aged 21, faces six of similar charges, including one for hacking the Facebook page of his former girlfriend, Woo Huijing, on Nov 4, 2013.

Azhar, who is unemployed, was been accused of hacking into the PMO site on Nov 7, making it to show an image of a mask and some literatyre over what the webpage would normally display.

One of those phrases had with references to the Anonymous hacktivist group.

The two brothers are also found guilty of separately hacking into seven different types of social media and e-mail accounts belonging to Ridhwan on Nov 5, 2013.

Yesterday, a 20-year-old entertainer said that Asyiq was the former boyfriend of Woo, 19, before he have started seeing her.

The brothers were temporarily released on S$10,000 (RM25,395) security yesterday with their passports impounded.
