The Anonymous UK movement aims to help the homeless this winter.

A group of Internet activists encourage people around the world to help homeless survive this winter as a part of the group’s Operation Safe Winter project.

“Winter is a desperately tough time of year if you don’t have a roof over your head”, said Rob Salter, spearheading the Barry project.

On Saturday, December 21, Barry members will take the donations of sleeping bags, blankets, gloves, warm socks and hats, warm waterproof coats, rucksacks and food. Tinned food with the pull tabs, also dog food and dog coats as a lot of homeless people have companion dogs, nappies and baby food are also priorities as some homeless people, even though they have families, are not allowed to seek employment and don’t qualify for benefit.

“These items will be very welcome and let people know that they haven’t been forgotten. We are hoping a lot of people will connect with this.”

Rob added that the group is struggling to find storage for their donated items, asking for anyone with a secure dry garage that could be used to contact him.

If you can help, contact Rob on 07815517756.
