Two main parties in Germany have agreed on a decision to keep their internal communications safe by using encrypted soft on their mobiles.
The decision was taken following the revelations that the NSA was spying on Angela Merkel, the German chancellor. Now, iPhones will be off the shopping list of local politicians. – Bild.

The parties are currently in coalition negotiations over forming Germany’s next government. New government politicians will only make calls using encrypted phones, those which are not protected will become the exception. iPhones will no longer be allowed for official correspondence.
“Our conversations and communication structure have to be safer,” the government report said.
Encryption is a massage or communication coding with unique algorithms to make intercepted communication unreadable.
Since the decision was made, the discussing official matters over the phone should only be done by BSI-approved devices.
