A 12-year-old Montreal hacker has been sentenced to 18 months probation. Youngest ever to face charges, he mutilated several provincial government websites and shared information in exchange in 2012.
A series of attacks targeted government-related websites under the auspices of “Operation Quebec” campaign.
There were two damaging operations held: denial-of-service attacks, in other cases, home pages were altered and data seized and traded.
It was reported that the boy was working for Anonymous, Internet activists’ network.
In spite a crime structure, judge appointed an easy punishment inclined to kid’s age and unawareness of his did. They “were not of a criminal but of a young man who couldn’t have known the extent of the consequences,” – he stated.

This is not a first time when the Montreal youngster charged in hacking.
In 2000 serial denial-of-service attacks crippled the websites of Yahoo Inc., EBay, CNN, Dell and Amazon.com, that caused millions of dollars in losses.
