From now, you don’t have to tweet “Follow want to DM” that is usually we see or we do on twitter to send or receive a Direct message because  Twitter is rolling out an option which will allow you to get Direct Messages from a user you don’t follow.

But to send or receive Direct messages without follow—an option must be enabled from settings, below is a screenshot spotted by The Verge:

If you enable the above option, you will be able to receive DM from anyone of the user follow you, and it can also fill your Message box with spams, so you have to decide whether you want to enable it or don’t want to let you receive thousand of spams a day.

Twitter has also been experimenting with breaking news through direct messages and alerts to followers about popular users and their tweets.
