A Famous website for software development projects that use the Git revision control system “GITHUB” was hit by a Major DDoS Attack, Github was taken down by hackers on Thursday Morning.
Just after the attack GitHub updated that there is a Major Service Outage:
After sometime GitHub again updated the Status to confirm that it is a DDoS Attack:
Later after the above update, they wrote “The DDOS attack is VERY large, however, the site should be coming back online.“:
However, after the series of updates by GitHub, website was restored successfully and at the time we are reporting this news the website is working fine.

Why in the hell would people target Github? Github facilitates collaborative coding, which i see no bad side about. Are there not enough other targets out there?
