Chinese Hackers is becoming famous for hacking over United States and now recently, The U.S. secretly traced a massive cyberespionage operation against the 2008 presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and John McCain to hacking units backed by the People’s Republic of China, prompting  high level warnings to Chinese officials to stop such activities,  U.S. intelligence officials tell NBC News.NBC Report says that Chinese Hackers wanted to take away “Massive amount of data from both campaigns, which include internal position papers and private emails of key advisers in both campaign”.

But everyone think about that how they got hacked by Chinese Hackers, so here is the report how US got hacked:
  • That was a Phishing Attack
  • An email was sent to top staffers from both camps detailing the ‘agenda’ for an upcoming meeting. (That Email had a malware that installed itself onto the staffers Computers)
  • The malware replicated itself through the Obama campaign’s computer system and was designed “to stay buried in the computers for months, if not years

Based on everything I know, this was a case of political cyberespionage by the Chinese government against the two American political parties,” said Dennis Blair, who served as President Obama’s director of national intelligence in 2009 and 2010. “They were looking for positions on China, surprises that might be rolled out by campaigns against China.

The hacking of the 2008 presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and John McCain by China is being revealed to the public right before the two-day meeting with President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The hackings, which China has denied in the past, are sure to be a hot topic between the two world leaders.
