This Week everywhere Apple-Apple-Apple is being highlighted because Apple has this week bad good bad good and now Apple has fixed a hole in their security that hole was not a minor one that hole could change your Apple ID password only if hacker knows your correct email address and date of Birth.

That Flaw was originally discovered on Friday and then a modified URL would be sent to the iForgot webpage for forgot password and could reset the user’s password without answering the additional security questions.

For security Apple temporarily removed the iForgot Page and displayed “WORKING ON A FIX” but who know which type of fix was that.

Some Points to see

  • Now after 24 Hours the page is restored and Apple has plugged that Hole from their security
  • The discovery of the simple work-around came just one day after Apple rolled-out the two-stepverification security tool.
  • This requires users to confirm their identity through a “trusted device” like an iPhone or iPad, whenever changes are made to their Apple ID or iCloud account.
  • However, such was the rush to sign-up for the simpler (there’s no need for security questions) and more secure account protection tool that when yesterday’s problem emerged, there was a three-day queue to switch.
  • This left those stuck with the old password reset method vulnerable until Apple fixed the flaw late on Friday night.
