Hack attack on Irish Websites google.i.e and yahoo.i.e went offline on Tuesday afternoon when their DNS Servers were hijacked and the DNS has been changed so in result the visitors were redirecting to an “allegedly fraudulent” web address Farahatz.net and this site is offline now and till now it is not confirmed that was there any malicious content on that site or no..

For this Hijacking a short note had been put on the website of Ireland Domain registry that security incident on Tuesday 9th October, involving two high profile .ie domains that has warranted further investigation and some precautionary actions on the part of the IEDR.”

The reason of this hijacking mainly caused by the unauthorized access of anyone to registrar’s account [Mark Monitor] by which the DNS Name servers have been changed and the visitors were redirecting to other websites.

Everyone is thinking that how it can be done that any unauthorized access has been done so security experts are saying that may be the login credentials for the IEDR registrar’s console may have been “Socially Engineered”
